John 8 gives us three great truths: (1) Love Jesus! (2) Love God’s Word! (3) Reject Satan’s lies! If we abide in God’s Word these will be evidence of my salvation and obedience will be the result. Do not believe the lie that you cannot understand the Bible. God will grow your knowledge of His Word, and that knowledge will give you the power to withstand what the world is pushing at you. We are no longer slaves but instead, we are sons and daughters of God, who wants us to be free from sin. We will BATTLE sin rather than being dominated by it.
