Only The Lord Can Fulfill

The Lord is so faithful to fulfill all that He has promised us! Throughout the Bible we see so many promises from the Lord. When believers walk in these promises, their mindset and attitude towards life will be changed. However, in order to fully experience these promises, we must look to the Lord to find them fulfilled.

“For all the promises of God find their yes in Him. That is why through Him, we utter our amen to God for his glory.” – 2 Corinthians 1:20

When we walk in the promises of God, it leads us to having a fuller life that makes us more in love with and closer to Him. However, so many times we look for the promises of God to be fulfilled in the things of the world. We look in our friendships to give us comfort and to fill our insecurities. We use seasons of life as our checklist for our contentment. We even run to social media to try and find laughter. Without realizing it, we hit up Instagram to distract us and quiet the anxieties of our life. Each one of these tactics leaves us empty and even more insecure. This is not God’s design. We cannot look to the world to fulfill the promises that can only be fulfilled through our relationship with Jesus. Take a look at these verses, meditate on the promises of God. Be sure to recognize where the Bible leads us to find these promises fulfilled.

Friendship:
“One who has unreliable friends soon comes to ruin, but there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother.” – Proverbs 18:24

Peace:
“You keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on you, because he trusts in you.” – Isaiah 26:3

Protection:
“For He will rescue you from every trap and protect you from deadly disease.” – Psalm 91:3

Victory:
“No, despite all these things, overwhelming victory is ours through Christ, who loved us.” – Romans 8:37

Joy:
“You make known to me the path of life; in your presence there is fullness of joy; at your right hand are pleasures forevermore.” – Psalm 16:11

Life abundantly:
“The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came so that they may have life and have it abundantly.” – John 10:10

Fatherhood:
“See what kind of love the Father has given to us, that we should be called children of God; and so we are.” – 1 John 3:1

Salvation:
“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.” – John 3:16

Walk in the Lord, experience the fullness of Him, recognize we are undeserving of all of these things, and glorify Him because He’s worthy of it.
