As we shepherd our students, we will encounter scoffers, worldly people, and those that seek to divide the Church.
To combat this, we must keep in the love of God. We do this by laboring over the Word of God, praying in the Spirit, and teaching sound doctrine.
We are contending for eternal souls and must take our task seriously. A youth pastor is not an activity director; he is a shepherd under The Good Shepherd. We must labor in God’s will, on behalf of his sheep whom he loves, in order to stand as a worker approved by God.
