The Gospel promise first comes in Genesis 3. Mankind was given a promise that defines the course of redemptive history. A seed would one day come from the woman’s line that would crush the head of the serpent. Satan bruised His heel on the cross, but Jesus Christ crushed the head of Satan.
Christ reigns supreme through His sinless life, death, resurrection, and ascension to the right hand of the Father in Heaven. He has conquered sin so that we don’t have to. Without Christ, we are without hope, but praise God that this Gospel reality turns the table on the power of sin!
