SWO24 Breakouts
Tuesday
Suspicion
Jon Rouleau
The Devil’s number one weapon is lies. He has been called the “father of lies”. Within this process we find that often he will use suspicion to soften our hearts toward his lies. We will dive into Genesis 3 to identify this process and learn to become critical thinkers, but not critical people.
Everything is Discipleship and Discipleship is Everything (for Youth Pastors)
Zach Mabry
We are going to talk about our marching orders from Jesus were to go and make disciples. In light of that, everything in our student ministry needs to be focused on making disciples. So we will explain what a disciple is, and what is it that makes someone a disciple. We’ll also talk about the fact that our students are constantly being discipled, but more often than not the culture is doing it through social media and video games. We need to be aware of what we are up against and how to reverse the trend.
Wednesday
Girls Breakout – Purity
Anna Rose Garrett
How do we shift our mindset from a passive approach to purity to an active pursuit of holiness and intimacy with God? In this talk, we look at how we can pursue righteousness for our joy and his glory!
Guys Breakout – God’s Will for You
Rob Conti
God is committed to our sanctification and has promised to complete that work. He has also given us responsibility to live that reality out. Here in 1 Thessalonians 4, God zeros in on an important aspect of our sanctification, namely, sexual purity.
Thursday
Insecurity
Spencer Davis
Everybody struggles on some level with insecurity — “I’m not good enough, I’m not popular enough, I’m not smart enough”. In this breakout we will get to the roots of insecurity and examine: What is insecurity, why do we have it, and most importantly, what do we do about it?
Preventing Deconstruction (for Youth Pastors)
Zach Mabry
We are going to look at what it is that leads people to “deconstruct” from the faith, why it is attractive, and what we can do to help prepare our students to fight against it.
Friday
Love is Love
Jon Rouleau
This popular statement has flooded our culture, but what does it even mean? Language has meaning, but who gets to define what it means? We will dive into the Scriptures, see what love means, and learn God’s plan for our ultimate desire, love.

In this breakout, we will look at strategies and practical tips to hone biblical messages in order to be a faithful minister of the Word to students in an ever-changing culture.
