As we look at the life of David, we see that he is a type of Christ.
David’s life is put in Scripture so that we can learn more about Jesus. He was a type of rescuer and deliverer for the people of Israel. In 1 Samuel 16-17, we see God remove Saul as king and seat David on the throne. David is a man after God’s own heart. Let’s look at Scripture to see the character and heart of David as he teaches us more about Christ.
