The Parables of Jesus
Jesus used parables to teach his disciples, to rebuke the religious leaders of his day, and to keep some of his teaching from being understood. Sometimes the interpretation of a parable is simple, but other times parables get downright confusing.
The Preeminence of Christ in Colossians

THE THINGS CONCERNING HIMSELF – ADVENT STUDY
In this 25-day study, Zach Mabry walks through key sections of the Old Testament, looking at how God was preparing the world for the coming of Jesus.
Luke 1-4
As we read the Gospel of Luke, we see Jesus heal the sick, proclaim the truth, and raise the dead. The authority of Christ is clearly on display in the Gospel of Luke from the moment Jesus’ birth is announced by the angel Gabriel to the last verses when the resurrected Jesus ascends into heaven (Luke 24:51).

Acts 1-4
Just like the Gospel of Luke gave an orderly account of Jesus’ life, the book of Acts gives us an orderly account of the spread of the Gospel and the establishment of the Church. The Greek word (the New Testament was written in Greek), translated as “preach the Gospel,” is used more in Acts than in any other book in the Bible.
The main thing – A study in James
James identifies himself as a servant of the Lord Jesus Christ. This is the same James who tried to stop Jesus in His ministry because he didn’t believe He was God, and now he is claiming to be His servant. This word carries with it the idea of a willing slave for life. And in the book of James, we see that walked out.
