The Combat Veteran Who Chose Calling Over Comfort
What if the comfortable choice is actually keeping you from what God is calling you to do?
In this episode Brody and JB sit down with a longtime friend, Michael Talley to hear how combat deployments, hard leadership decisions, and family priorities shaped his path from the Air Force to pastoral ministry. Michael shares some wild stories from his time in the military and how God eventually led him to leave the Air Force and step into ministry. He later walked away from a stable church position to plant a church in Denver during COVID with a baby on the way and almost no money.
Michael’s story is a powerful reminder that following Jesus often means choosing obedience over comfort and trusting God with the outcome.
