Discipleship never ends, it’s a lifelong process. Levi, the tax collector, gave up everything to follow Christ. Levi was hated. He was seen as a traitor to his own people. But Christ still chose to save him and disciple him. Jesus can save anybody. There is no one that has gone “too far” that can’t be saved by the light of the Gospel. Anyone is welcome to put away their life and follow Jesus.
