Be Strong: Bruce and the Bear
It’s easy to say God is sovereign or supreme or in control. And it’s easy to thank God for the good things in our lives. But what about when you get attacked by a grizzly bear in the Alaskan bush? How should you respond then?
Bruce Crocker (or as he is more affectionately known, Papa Croc) is the father of Brandon Crocker, our maintenance director, and one of our favorite volunteer staff. He comes and stays with us for a few months every winter and gives of his time here doing maintenance.
He is a usually quiet man that likes to serve behind the scenes and doesn’t want any recognition. But he has an amazing story of God’s plan, protection, and grace that he believes God has given him to share, so that others might know how good the Lord truly is.
