Daniel 3 challenges us to stand firm when the world tells us to compromise. Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego refused to bow to the king’s statue, even when they knew it could cost them their lives. Their example shows us what it looks like to stay faithful to God when we are pressured to fit in.
Following Christ does not mean we will never face suffering. But God can use suffering to build our endurance and strengthen our faith. And when we walk through the fire, we can trust that God is with us. He may not always keep us from the fire, but He will never leave us in it alone.
