The Gospel and the First Marriage

God blessed creation and made it holy. This is what He brought the first marriage into. When we look at Genesis 2, we see the foundation of marriage. God’s intention for the man and woman was a complimentary partnership. The relationship was to be one of spiritual, functional unity. The two were to walk in integrity by serving the Lord and keeping His commandments. God established man and woman, male and female, to serve Him and keep His commands so that they might live and enjoy the bounty of creation.
Ask yourself: “Is my marriage unified? Do we complement and help one another in the way God designed?”
