To be a man or woman of God is the greatest, yet simplest description we could ask for and work towards. When we look at 1 Timothy 6, we see the comparisons that are being made of the leadership of the Ephesian church against the character of Timothy.
We are defined by what we chase after — What are you pursuing? The pleasures of this life are fleeting, but eternity and its glory are forever. What do you want from life? What will bring you lasting pleasure? Christ. Obedience to Christ is the only thing that will provide lasting pleasure. Let’s pursue these things. This requires us to be aggressive and focused. How committed is your pursuit of these things?
