The Dividing Wall | Missions Session

Dallas “Gar” Bozeman : Missions Conference : Ephesians 2:1, 14-16 : April 21, 2018

The Church had a part in the era of slavery both domestically and internationally. As believers, our knee-jerk response to that truth can often be to say that Christians have had nothing to do with racial tensions. Throughout history, we can see many examples across the globe of leaders in the Church that contributed to (and ignored) issues relating to racial tensions, claiming it as a systematic issue and not a religious one.

90% of pastors today acknowledge that there is an issue. We must address this issue and understand that the power of the Gospel will break down the dividing walls of hostility in the Church that causes separation among believers and hinders the spread of the Gospel.

Ephesians 2:14-16“For he himself is our peace, who has made us both one and has broken down in his flesh the dividing wall of hostility by abolishing the law of commandments expressed in ordinances, that he might create in himself one new man in place of the two, so making peace, and might reconcile us both to God in one body through the cross, thereby killing the hostility.”
